Sundaresh Brahmasandra, Ph.D., Co-founder and Vice President of Product Development

Sundaresh (or Sundu as he is known) has more than six years experience in designing, fabricating and testing microfabricated reaction and separation systems. He was a key member of the interdisciplinary team at the University of Michigan that demonstrated the first fully integrated nanoliter level DNA analysis system. Specifically, he was instrumental in developing the reaction/separation/detection components and the overall testing of the integrated device.

Sundu holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan. His research has been published in leading peer reviewed journals and periodicals such as Electrophoresis, Science, and Sensors and Actuators. Biochip Technology, published in 2001, featured a chapter on integrated DNA analysis device, co-authored by Sundu.
