Description/Summary: Responsible for sales and profitability objectives for all molecular products in their assignment to current and prospective buyers. Works independently to consistently achieve or exceed monthly/quarterly territory sales goals as listed in the yearly sales plan, while supporting the corporate goals. Plans, schedules and executes multi-level sales calls to prospects and current customers for all HandyLab products, utilizing consultative selling of features and benefits, based on thorough knowledge of molecular technology, to meet the identified needs of customers. Activities include: product demonstrations, evaluations, technical presentations, financial proposals, negotiations, start-ups and troubleshooting. Up to approximately 80% travel required within assigned territory. This is an estimate and will vary by territory and opportunities. Directly promotes the profitable sales of all HandyLab products, utilizing good time/territory management practices within assigned territory. Maintains up-to-date customer files and database using Sales Logix. Prepare and forward periodic reports to HandyLab’s Sales management. Work with HandyLab’s Sales & Marketing Management team to achieve corporate objectives at key accounts. Participates in sales meetings, conventions and local technical society meetings as appropriate. Follows Standard Operating Procedures for handling complaints. Participates in product complaint resolutions when requested by Technical Service. Plans, organizes and supports the use of local technical seminars and workshops to educate/inform market on HandyLab products and technology. Provides suggestions for new or improved products, packaging, and promotion and sales methods. Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with the HandyLab Sales, Marketing and Management Teams.
