Job Title: Software Release Engineer (Linux)

Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Description/Summary: A software test/release position is available immediately with HandyLab, Inc., Ann Arbor, MI. The successful candidate will be a member of the product development team and report to the Director of Software & Instrumentation. This position will be responsible for the test and release of sophisticated software for novel microfluidics based in-vitro diagnostic devices.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop/modify test plans
- Regression testing
- Release management
Qualifications and Skills:
- B.S. in Computer Science with 4+ years of experience.
- Strong background in Linux - good knowledge of bash is a must.
- Knowledge of perl/python preferred.
- Knowledge of automated build management tools.
- Should have firm grasp of development tools in a Linux environment - (gcc, make).
- Should be able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
